Are you registered to vote?

Eligible voters can also register to vote in person by going to:

  • the Guilford County Board of Election.
  • Online or in person @ the NCDMV. You can register to vote when you obtain or renew your drivers license or state identification card at any of the license facilities.

When to re-register

Your registration is permanent unless you move or change your name, but You MUST be Registered to VOTE! Check your registration if you have not voted in several years.

Address changes

If you have moved within the County, you must transfer your new address to vote in the proper precinct.

You must re-register with the local election authority or county board clerk if you move to an address outside of the County.

Name changes

Voters who legally change their name, but not their address, do not have to re-register. If you have changed your name, you can update your information during an early voting day, if you have questions on legalities, contact you local election board well in advance of election day.

Where do I vote?

On early voting days you will be able to vote at several polling places, although your “Home” Precinct may not be on the list during early voting. On Election Day, you MUST vote in your registered Precinct.
